This time,I Made an incpection visit to the gates of Nopporo Forest Park, which I usually visit for photography, except for the Osawa entrance.(Just an inspection this time.)
The sites visited were Tomanbetsu Park, Tomanbetsu entrance and Mizuho entrance.
In January and February 2022, there was heavy snowfall, but what are the conditions like?
1, Mizuho entrance
This is situation during the summer months……
The following was the situation.
However, there were footprints, so someone may have gone in on snowshoes or skis.
(Not recommended as it is dangerous and the gate was closed in the summer too, so it is likely to be closed now).
2,Tomanbetsu Park, Tomanbetsu entrance
The Tomanbetsu park area is not easy to enter with snow boots, so snowshoes are required here too.
This was the most desired parking lot at the Tomanbetsu entrance.
Unfortunately, it was impossible to park here as the snow had not been cleared.
*There are only 1.2 lanes on the road and many sections where it is difficult to turn around, so it is safe not to enter if you are unfamiliar with the road.(There are almost no places to turn around)
My car just made it(My car is very very small “Mitsubishi Pajero junior”), so yoou might assume that turning is not possible for cars with a front and rear length of more than a light car.
(Light car = Japanese Light Car “Kei car”)
Four-wheel drive is a must.
So it seems that in winter it is best to enter from the Osawa entrance, which is the most major entrance.
I wanted to enter from the nearest Tomanbetsu entrance because I wanted to enter the “Larch cource”, which I always photograph, but I didn’t have snowshoes, so I gave up.
In previous years, it seems to be rather easy to enter, but this year was a disappointment.
I would like to photograph more winter animals shile there is snow on the ground.
